The Republicans are right. As much as it may pain us to hear it, we lost this election by not appealing to the majority of American voters. This election was the Democratic party's to lose far more than it was the Republican party's to win. We did lose it, and the blame for that must rightly be lain at our own feet. We do need to rethink our platform, as many have told us. We need to examine it in the light of reason, and more importantly the light of wisdom. And we need to understand where we went wrong. Or we will make the same mistakes again.
